THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

“The Boys & Girls Club mission is “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” We achieve this goal through targeted programming and structure. We strive to promote Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.  Our staff are licensed through the State of Texas and are CPR and First Aid certified. Our staff work to create fun and engaging activities that spark imagination, curiosity and interest. We want to inspire and encourage your kids to “BE GREAT”.

After School Program 

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club offers a safe and fun environment for youth after school! We offer specialized Boys & Girls Club programs in a variety of areas including Power Hour(Homework Assistance), SONday’s Cool, High Yield Learning Activities, Gym Time, Healthy Habits, YADI, Arts & Crafts, and just plain FUN!

  • Days & Times: Monday-Friday – School Dismissal-6:30 pm
  • (Local Elementary Schools Buses drop off @ Kroc)
  • Monthly Fee: $130 per child
  • Registration Dates:  Contact us to get on the Waiting List
  • Registration Fees:  $40 Registration Fee per child to secure spot

Times: 7:30am-6:30pm
Price: $100 per child
Registration Dates: February 2023
New/Inactive Members pay a $30 registration fee during registration week. New/Inactive Members registering after registration week will pay $40.

JR. STAFF

Summer 2022

Jr. Staff is a summer service program with The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Kerrville.  Through participation in Jr. Staff, teens develop interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and a sense of community engagement while experiencing on-the-job Club work shadowing and assisting adult staff.  

It’s not all hard work!  Jr. Staff get to participate in swimming, field trips and other activities with the Club kids; plus, they get a free Kroc Membership for themselves for the duration of the Summer.

Ages:  13-17

Days & Times:  M-F 7:30am-6:30pm (Flexible Scheduling)

June 6 – KISD Starts School

YADI

The Salvation Army and the Search Institute have a partnership known as the Youth Asset Development Initiative (YADI). Each month the Kroc Center will focus on one special asset with the Boys & Girls Club members. The Asset will be taught in all of the existing programs through art, interactive games/ activities and guest speakers.
