Customer Service

Kroc Associate

The Kroc Associate is focused on member acquisition and experience in the areas of Membership, Recreation and Fitness. These staff members are responsible for participating in the creation of a welcoming, helpful, and safe environment where individuals and families can learn, grow, and thrive. Oversees the daily use of the fitness center and equipment by members, guests, and visitors; ensures safe, professional, and enjoyable operation of the fitness area; ensures the safety, cleanliness and proper maintenance of the fitness facility and equipment; opens and/or closes the gym and basic set up for events on a daily basis.

· Operates CCMS/RMS computer software for customer transactions in accordance to Salvation Army and member policies

· Handles cash transactions in an ethical manner

Health & Wellness

Group Fitness Instructor

The Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) will be responsible for designing/implementing and teaching safe and appropriate group exercise classes for members and guests; designs all class choreography, performs music selection, and determines appropriate equipment required for each fitness class they teach; learns and implements all choreography as designed by their respective certifying agency; ensures that all exercise and equipment used is done safely and appropriately for the exercise class demographics; ensures safety in fitness spaces provided: the multi-purpose aerobics room; the basketball gym, and the pool.

Family Store

Truck Driver Helper

Assists the Truck Driver in the loading and unloading routine pickups and /or deliveries of material, donated or otherwise, to serve production need of the store and/or general operation of corps

Places and arranges furniture, appliances, books or other heavy items in the store as directed.

Aquatics

Lifeguard

Part-time, $11/hour

The position is a year around Part-time; early morning, mid-day and evening shifts are available; certification may be obtained upon hire.

Ensures the health, safety, and welfare of those using the aquatics facilities of The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center; provides constant surveillance of pool activities; observes swimmers and enforces regulations in the guarding of life and the prevention of accidents; maintains the cleanliness of the pool and pool area; monitors and controls the chemical levels of pool water ensuring proper levels are maintained at all times; prepares pool records in an accurate and complete manner.

Maintains constant surveillance of members, guests, and visitors of the aquatic’s facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of same in the event of an emergency.

Kroc Kids

Junior Counselor

Part-time, $10/hour

Provides care for children 10 months to 10 years old in Child Watch for Kroc Center members

Engages all children in developmentally appropriate activities, including but not limited to: storytelling, arts and crafts, music and movement, games, and more.

Takes children to various areas of the Kroc Center, including the outdoor playground and basketball gym

Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents; remains in communication with parents regarding any needs.

Responds to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner; notifies Youth Development Coordinator or Kroc management of any problems or incidents.

Boys & Girls Club

Boys & Girls Club Youth Development Professional

Plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting the Boys & Girls Club priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. May oversee special programs and/or events (i.e. Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and/or participate in the implementation of other unit activities as necessary. In absence of the Program Coordinator; may provide supervision oversight to other Youth Development Professionals to ensure continuity of program services at unit/branch locations. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all Club members and their families in order to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army.

Boys and Girls Club Program Coordinator II

Coordinates the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of specific program(s) for youth between the ages of 6 and 18 within a designated Club or multiple Club Sites. Provides leadership and supervision to assigned program and volunteer staff; and controls expenses as assigned. Plans activities and facilitates programs for groups of youth in assigned Specific program areas. (STEM, STEAM, Art, Sports/Athletics. Aquatics, Education). Other duties include writing program reports, supervising youth, and transporting youth in Club vehicles. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all Club members and their families in order to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army.

Bus Driver

Part Time, $16/hour

Drives a Salvation Army Vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from various locations, ensure the vehicle meet the scheduled maintenance and performs operator's maintenance in accordance with established standards. This position is a casual, as needed, position.

Must have a Valid Class B CDL license

Two years experience operating a heavy duty Truck or midbus
